Wedding Week In Hawaii
We got the honour of attending Wedding Week Hawaii and joining in the tasting at 3 amazing restaurants located in the International Market Place.
The Wedding Week Hawaii is a way to showcase local vendors, food and shops located throughout the International Market Place and the island to bring more weddings to Hawaii!
Who wouldn't want to get married in Hawaii? I know for myself writing here in this cute shop IN HAWAII that if I had to do it all over again I'd get married here. We did have our honeymoon here and it made us fall in love with the people and the island. The way of life in Hawaii along with the amazing local shops has you swooning, especially since this island is now known as the "romance market" for weddings.
How Wedding Week Started
Drawing inspiration from the highly successful Fashion Week here in Hawaii, founder, Julie Aragaki (of Hawaii Bride and Groom magazine/HBG Style located in photo below), believed a similar concept could apply equally well to the wedding industry. Why not pool the resources and efforts of those in the industry to build excitement around weddings amongst engaged couples? With Julie’s long standing relationships and contacts within the industry, she enlisted the help of other, like-minded business owners in the industry to put together what will be Hawai‘i’s first ever Wedding Week!
International Market Place Wedding Showcase Tasting
We were invited by the International Market Place to join in on the tasting here in Hawaii for wedding week. The Restaurants showcased their amazing food samples along with information about their spaces that can hold smaller wedding parties. Listed are the 3 restaurants located on the top floor of the IMP and some of the photos we took! We also had a chance to to visit the expo with some local vendors and shops in the IMP.

How the International Market Place is playing a role in Weddings
The IMP is playing a big role in the wedding industry. They are taking the opportunity to partner with vendors and retailers in the market place. With 8 Dining options and places throughout the market place to take beautiful photos, the IMP is stepping in to provide reception and wedding packages located inside the market place! This will be your one stop shop for weddings! The oldest trees found inside with history dating way back. The banyon tree inside is 160 years old and there is a consumer demand to share the property with the romance industry. Plain and simple, weddings effect and help the economy and the tourism industry. Its doesn't take much to convince anyone to get married here... you are in paradise.
