So, it was that time again to get my hair done. I always seem to get bored with my hair style and change it up. I have had long, short curly and straight hair... and I'm pretty sure I almost went bald at one time because I was dying my hair so much... Anyway, I met Alli at my last Hair Salon. Call it fait, but Alli ( WE HAVE THE SAME NAME!) was sort of thrown in to do my hair at the last minute.. it was also her last day of work at the salon as she was embarking on her own journey of going full time at home with her hair services. I always get jelous of girls that I talk to when they say " Oh yah my hair stylist..." YAH... I never had my own... I would just go where the cut and colour was decent.. until NOW!
Cue in Ally ( me)... searching Facebook for Alli... Turns out we went to the same school and we have mutual people we know! Yes! such a small small world. I booked my appointment with her from her new business from home 'XOXO' Hair Designs for a cut and colour. Let me tell you! This girl is not only so sweet but super talented and I am so happy for her that she is making it as a #girlboss! Which so happens to be on the pen I made for her <3 I was able to sit down with her to ask her about her choices for this field.
Alli wanted a job that could she could express herself, meet new people all while being creative. She has loved the relationships she has built with people and the joy of meeting so many amazing people along the way. Alli has worked at several Salons and has even travelled to Montreal for training and education. I asked Alli for any advice for people who want to pursue a field in hair design and she said "Its not easy as some may think, If you really want to be a successful stylist, you need to accept you are not perfect and there are always new things to learn!". Alli hopes to one day open her own shop, but for the meantime she is loving what she is doing and I am super thrilled for her!!! Go see Alli and you will not be disappointed! firstname.lastname@example.org
