The next Campus-style working space that is supporting Vancouver’s Tech and Startup Community: Adera Development Group
The Next Campus-Style Working Space
Open work spaces and campus style lay outs and home to major technology companies such as BlackBerry, Toshiba, Sugoi, Race Face Performance Products and Canadian medical imaging equipment manufacturer Novadaq Technologies, Adera Development Group ,one of BC’s leading multi-disciplinary real estate organizations, has paved the way for a new way of working space and is in the final stages of completing the long awaited tech hub, Eastlake Campus.
It is no wonder that Eastlake attracts high tech companies. Just minutes from the Sky Train and open green spaces, trails and campus style living, Tech Companies are drawn to the inviting space which has created a community already with the existing tenants.
I was lucky enough to be invited to the viewing of the third phase of the Eastlake project viewing the wall tilt and seeing inside the spaces of the already tenants such as Sugoi and Novadaq Technologies.
Whats very unique about this development is the passion that runs through the buildings; from the design, architecture and the detail even down to the zoning that allows light industrial and high tech uses for all the companies that move in. The architecture is modern yet practical with beautiful large windows and exquisite designs for each tenant. The buildings are also complimented with high speed fibre optics and LEED certification which again shows the passion moving forward to help sustain these tech companies.
We were able to get a tour of several already tenants including Novadaq a Canadian medical imaging equipment manufacturer. It was interesting to tour the space as we got to see multiple rooms which was bright and open. The cleanliness and organized space along with the Fibre optic cables neatly running above, allows Novadaq to run with the utmost precision.
Another space we visited was Sugoi Performance Apparel. Again, the spaces were more of an open concept, large home like kitchen and spaces for resting and relaxing along with health performance rooms and a community work board. Even the photo studio is in bound so they can have quality control in all areas. They have rooms for product control as well as same day tailored pieces so the client can be wearing them next day. I especially like this way of thinking as someone who owns my own Media Company I love that we can keep our outsourcing still within our sector and still bring that community feel to our clients.
I want to thank Adera for the invite and showcasing the third stage of the LEED certified tech hub yesterday. It is no wonder why so many tech companies are moving in and using this space to create and innovate.
The future is digital and is changing the way we see and experience the world. We are digitally connected more than ever and finding a space that allows sustainability and growth can make major impacts for humanity.
The Adera Development Group has created something pretty amazing here and once completed will be the ideal space for more existing and emerging tech companies.
